Tram Shelter Rescue

An old tram shelter, once at the terminus of the Lydiard Street line as been rescued and stored for future preservation. The old building has been used as a storeroom for many years by the Apex Club of Ballarat. In May a team from the Museum assisted in recovering the shelter from the Apex Club yard, and moving it to the Museum’s offsite storage area. At this stage, there are no firm plans for the building’s restoration and future use.
