Ballarat leadlight artist Sandy Anderson visited the Museum in March. In the 1980s Sandy created the coloured leadlight windows for Tram No. 26. Her designs were based on the original patterns which were removed in the 1930s when the tram was converted for one-person operation.
Sandy was pleased to be able to show off her work to her partner and extended family who took a special ride on the tram. She was pleased, and surprised, that the windows have survived 40 years of shaking and rattling along our tracks. Sandy is pictured here on the tram featuring her artistic creation.
