This tourist ticket was sold for use by visitors and gave them an all day return ticket to ride the trams. They were used on the three SEC trams systems, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Geelong. This ticket cost 1/- (one shilling now 10 cents). The tickets were punched in the numbered boxes at each end which indicated the tram route.

This ticket was printed originally for the years 1944, 1945 and 1946. It was later overprinted in red ink for 1947, 1948 and 1949. As the ticket was never used, it was stamped as “CANCELLED” to prevent people from trying to use it at a later date.

This ticket was donated to the Museum in July 1999 by a person with a family member who used to work in the State Electricity Commission office.
