Chris has always had a fascination for trams and trains. He was one the foundation members of the Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society (now the Ballarat Tramway Museum) back in 1971. He was out on the streets of Ballarat in the last months of the SEC tramway operation with his camera. One of his photos is featured on the photo mural in the hallway.
Chris is still an active member at the Museum, and can often be found on the trams as a motorman, conductor, or training our new volunteers. He also enjoys models, and the large tramway model in the theatrette was constructed in 2021-2022 by Chris and his wife, Glenda.
