Award winning volunteer

Peter Winspur, our current Secretary and Safety Manager, has won the Association of Tourist and Heritage Rail Australia’s Excellence Award, 2023. He joined the Museum in July 1971. As Works Foreman he supervised the construction of the first depot and the access track to Wendouree Parade. Peter has been a member of the BTM Board since 1974, and the Secretary since 1991.
