This hand made wooden tram model is of an open Californian combination tram. The original trams were made by Duncan and Fraser in Adelaide and used by several Melbourne tramway companies. These trams were bought second hand by the Electric Supply Company for use in both Bendigo and Ballarat. Ballarat Tram No. 26 has been restored to this original layout.

The model is painted in the red and white colours used by ESCo.

This model was made for the Bendigo Tramway in the 1970s, possibly for sale in their shop. The maker is unknown. From the collection of Tim Borchers and repaired for our display by Chris Phillips.
