The Los Angeles Transit Lines (LATL) operated a huge city tramway in Los Angeles, California, USA. It was narrow gauge (3 foot 6 inch gauge) and superbly maintained. The original company which began in 1895, was bought out in 1944 National City Lines. This was a national transport company with links to various companies including Firestone Tyres, Standard Oil and General Motors. They named the business the LATL and started to scrap the trams and replace with their own built buses. This, along with the same situation with the Pacific Electric, was a basis for the carton “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.” The last tram ran in 1963 leaving Los Angeles an all bus and car city until the first Light Rail opened in 1991.

The cap and badge are the same as the Oakland Key Line, which was operated by the same company.
